Kevin Stefanski gives up Browns play-calling duties

Image
Kevin Stefanski Hands Over Browns Play-Calling Duties to Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey: A New Era for Cleveland’s Offense In a significant shift for the Cleveland Browns, head coach Kevin Stefanski has decided to relinquish his play-calling responsibilities, passing them on to recently hired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. This move marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the Browns’ offense, signaling Stefanski’s willingness to adapt in hopes of igniting the team's underwhelming performance on that side of the ball. The Decision to Step Back Since taking over as head coach in 2020, Stefanski has called offensive plays for the Browns. Under his leadership, Cleveland’s offense initially flourished, particularly during the 2020 season when the team made a rare playoff appearance, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round. Stefanski's offensive schemes, emphasizing a run-heavy attack and play-action passes, played a key role in maximizing the talents of qu...

JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: Who Won Dancing with the Stars 2011

Image
As soon as the Dancing with the Stars winner was announced last night emotions immediately began running high as to whether the right couple won. JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff were facing the finals with Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake at the beginning of last night’s show. Ricki was eliminated first, leaving Rob and Cheryl to compete against JR and Karina in the finals. While JR and Rob became really close friends on the show, it was clear that their dance styles and their journey’s on the show were very different. Rob, the underdog, was at the bottom of the leaderboard many times and he fought hard to make it into the finals. JR fought hard too, but in a different way. JR was a judge favorite from the beginning because he possessed the drive and the skills to win the competition. It seemed as though he was a shoe-in to win the mirror-ball trophy until he injured his ankle heading into the semi-finals and ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard. Regardless of...

Five Iron Frenzy reunion: FIF posts new song, announces plans for new album due in 2013!

Image
Update, 7:54 p.m.: Astoundingly, unless our eyes are playing tricks on us, Five Iron Frenzy appears to have already reached its Kickstarter goal of raising $30,000 to record its new album. Holy crap! That's got to be some kind of record. So far, this reunion seems to be off to a great start. So as promised, Tuesday, November 22, has indeed turned out to be a day that Five Iron Frenzy fans won't soon forget. Just moments ago, in case you missed it -- which is entirely possible, considering that the eagerly anticipated announcement caused servers to crash -- exactly eight years ago to the day that Five Iron Frenzy played its last show ever at the Fillmore Auditorium (we were there -- it was rad), the act has announced plans to record a new album with hopes of issuing the disc in 2013. Reflecting on the Rise and Fall of Five Iron back in '09, we never thought we'd see the day. With that in mind, the outfit has posted a brand new song, "It Was a Dark and Stormy Nig...

Dancing with the Stars Finale Rankings: Rob Kardashian Tops the Leaderboard! (Freestyle Videos)

Image
Dancing with the Stars  Season 13’s darkhorse, Rob Kardashian, has blown past the frontrunners and takes the lead at the top of the leaderboard. With three 9s for his waltz and three 10s for his freestyle, Rob and partner Cheryl Burke have a great shot at winning the Mirrorball Tuesday night. But, it’s not just the votes that will count now. They still have two more dances to get through on Tuesday’s  Dancing with the Stars Results Show. A fascinating event took place tonight: Derek Hough, pro partner to Rick Lake, was outscored not once. but twice in the freestyles. This is possibly the first time this has ever occurred. Remember, Derek has never been in a Dancing with the Stars Final that he hasn’t won. And usually, the finals are won in the freestyles. See the freestyle videos below. But again, we have two more dances to get through. Let’s review the dances from part 1 of the Dancing with the Stars finale: Rob & Cheryl  57 Waltz 27, ...

The Dancing With the Stars Season 12 Winner is

Image
It's been a Dancing with the Stars season to remember. The injuries. The drama. The personal stories that moved us. The moves on the floor that thrilled us. A cast of stars so engaging and evenly matched that the field was as competitive as it was entertaining from the start. But there could be only one Season 12 champion. Somewhat surprisingly, given that she was just one point from perfection Monday and seemed like the dark horse to win, Chelsea Kane finished in third place. That left Kirstie Alley, who ended up with five points less than the other finalists, but has been a fan favorite all season, up against Hines Ward for the crown. Talk about anyone's game. Anyone willing to wager on this? And the Season 12 Dancing With the Stars winner was ... Hines Ward and his partner, Kym Johnson! They jumped in the air and hugged as confetti dropped. The Pittsburgh Steelers star lauded Johnson, who fought through a bad neck injury this month, as "an amazing ...

David Cook Brings ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ Performance to ‘American Idol’ Finale

Image
‘American Idol‘ is getting close to wrapping up Season 10, with the finale performance show airing tonight. After finalists Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina faced off in a singing battle for the gold, former ‘Idol’ winner David Cook performed his cover of Simple Minds’ 1985 hit, ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me).’ Cook, who was crowned the ‘American Idol’ back in 2008, covered the Simple Minds classic song as the official “vote off” song for the television show. The ‘Idol’ alum’s rendition of ‘The Breakfast Club’ theme song is the perfect fit to accompany ‘Idol’ runner-ups offstage, since the lyrics are sad and hopeful all at the same time. As Cook sang in a dapper black-and-white suit with a matching guitar, a montage of ‘American Idol’ clips played onscreen behind him and his band. It was sort of sad seeing past contestants like James Durbin and Jacob Lusk in the video, but there were also funny moments, like when Casey Abrams smooched Jennifer Lopez. David Cook will be releasi...
