Significant NASCAR Chicago street closures take effect as race nears

As Chicago's NASCAR road race lingers simply seven days away, the main road terminations around the occasion have started. Sunday denotes the beginning of the forceful prep for the race, with Jackson Drive shutting between Michigan Road and Columbus Drive, as per authorities. Columbus Drive is likewise now shut between Jackson Drive and Roosevelt Street as the final lap of the circuit is finished. Already, Ida B. Wells Drive shut east of Michigan Road, while Balbo shut between Michigan Road and DuSable Lake Shore Drive. More critical terminations will start on Monday, as path terminations on eastward Roosevelt Street will start off. Congress Square Drive will likewise close Monday morning. Each of the terminations will go on through the race days, which are set for July 1 and 2 around Award Park.
