Kevin Stefanski Hands Over Browns Play-Calling Duties to Offensive Coordinator Ken Dorsey: A New Era for Cleveland’s Offense In a significant shift for the Cleveland Browns, head coach Kevin Stefanski has decided to relinquish his play-calling responsibilities, passing them on to recently hired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. This move marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of the Browns’ offense, signaling Stefanski’s willingness to adapt in hopes of igniting the team's underwhelming performance on that side of the ball. The Decision to Step Back Since taking over as head coach in 2020, Stefanski has called offensive plays for the Browns. Under his leadership, Cleveland’s offense initially flourished, particularly during the 2020 season when the team made a rare playoff appearance, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round. Stefanski's offensive schemes, emphasizing a run-heavy attack and play-action passes, played a key role in maximizing the talents of qu...

Martin Luther King Jr. memorial quote to be changed

Image
A quote carved in stone on the new Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in  Washington  will be changed after the inscription was criticized for not accurately reflecting the civil rights leader's words. The inscription currently reads: "I was a drum major for justice, peace and righteousness." The phrase is chiseled into one side of a massive block of granite that includes King's likeness emerging from the stone. It became a point of controversy after the memorial opened in August. It's not as accurate, however, when used to predict best movies and directors. Last year's Critics' Choice winners - Colin Firth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Melissa Leo - all went on to snag Oscar nominations later that month and Oscar statuettes the following month. But "The Social Network" and its director David Fincher were honored by the broadcast group in January, while "The King's Speech" and its director Tom Hooper went on to nail the Oscar wins. The same thing happened in 2010. Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Christoph...

ABC News’ Michael Falcone reports: Stephen Colbert is putting his money where his mockery is — or, at least, his super PAC is. On his Comedy Central show Thursday night Colbert  announced  “an exploratory committee to lay the groundwork” for his “possible candidacy for president of the United States of South Carolina.” He also handed control of his super PAC, Citizens for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow, over to his colleague, Jon Stewart, host of “The Daily Show.” ABC News has learned that the group is already buying up television air time in South Carolina. A source tracking ad buys in early primary states told ABC that the super PAC has purchased nearly $10,000 worth of time on a broadcast station in the Charleston, S.C. area between Jan. 15 and Jan. 19. And according to a South Carolina news web site, the  Palmetto Public Record , the super PAC is also reportedly “negotiating a substantial media buy in the Columbia market.”
